Davido is making headlines again after YouTube removed his popular wedding song “Ogechi Remix” due to copyright issues.
The track gained attention after Davido performed it during his lavish wedding with Chioma on June 25, 2024.
The remix, originally by BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, featured Davido incorporating his wife Chioma’s name into the lyrics, a detail that resonated with many fans.
He released “Ogechi Remix” on his wedding day, followed by a music video on July 19, 2024. However, the song’s success hit a snag when news surfaced that YouTube had taken it down over copyright concerns.

A quick check reveals that the audio for the song is still available on BoyPee’s YouTube page, while the “Ogechi Remix” music video is hosted on Davido’s YouTube channel.
Interestingly, the song details on YouTube show that Davido is not listed as a credited artist.
Further online research indicates that the “Ogechi” song had an original creator before BoyPee and the other artists performed it, and later before Davido released his remix.
