Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, a model of Nigerian and Mozambican descent, has announced her participation in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant. This decision comes after she withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 competition due to issues surrounding her nationality.
Adetshina, who was a Top 11 finalist in the Miss South Africa pageant, exited the competition after the South African Department of Home Affairs raised concerns about possible fraud and identity theft involving her mother.
In a recent video, Adetshina confirmed that she has accepted the invitation to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
“I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant… I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant – Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
