The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Akyem Oda has officially kicked off its constituency campaign, encouraging members and supporters to intensify efforts towards securing a decisive victory in the upcoming general election.
During a rally following a large health walk, former Eastern Regional Chairman of the NDC, Bismarck Tawiah Boateng, highlighted the party’s strong presence in the Oda Constituency. He expressed concern over the lack of development in the area, despite the New Patriotic Party (NPP) being the dominant force since the fourth republic’s inception in 1992.
Mr. Tawiah Boateng called on voters to choose the NDC in the December 7, 2024, election, promising that their government would bring noticeable improvements in governance and ensure equitable distribution of quality development projects. He also assured that the NDC, if elected, would split the Eastern Region and designate Oda as the capital of the new region to accelerate local development.
Focus on Job Creation
Job creation for the youth and the restoration of national dignity are top priorities for the NDC’s flagbearer, Mr. Tawiah Boateng emphasized.
Richard Etornam Nyarko, the Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, who officially inaugurated the campaign, vowed that the party would fiercely challenge the NPP at polling stations to prevent electoral malpractice. He urged the NDC’s polling agents to stay vigilant throughout the election process to safeguard the party’s success.
