Housemate Kingsley Oritsetimeyin, popularly known as Kellyrae, from the DoubleKay pair, has emerged as the winner of Big Brother Naija (BBN) ‘No Loose Guard’ edition, making history as the first married man to ever claim the title. Kellyrae triumphed over seven other finalists, securing the N60 million cash prize, an SUV, and other rewards.
Kellyrae’s closest competitor was Wanni, who finished as the runner-up. The win sparked excitement across social media, especially as Kellyrae entered the show with his wife, Kassia, on October 6, adding an extra layer of interest to his journey.
The star-studded finale, hosted by Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, featured performances by Joeboy and Qing Madi and revisited the memorable moments of the season. The ‘No Loose Guard’ edition, which premiered on July 24, featured 14 pairs competing fiercely over 10 weeks for the grand prize of N100 million.
The final eviction left eight contestants—Anita, Nelly, Ozee, Onyeka, Sooj, Kellyrae, Wanni, and Victoria—battling for the title. After a series of eliminations, Kellyrae and Wanni emerged as the top two finalists.
Reflecting on his victory, Kellyrae expressed his surprise at making it so far, revealing that his winning strategy involved disguising his wife as his friend and sister. “That’s the biggest lie I’ve ever told in my life,” he remarked. Wanni, equally surprised to have made it to the Top 2, thanked her fans for their unwavering support.
Earlier in the season, Tjay was crowned the second solo Head of House after a week-seven challenge, further adding to the season’s many highlights.
