Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar has been indefinitely suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) over allegations of defaming her colleagues.

In a statement released on October 18, AGN revealed that a two-year investigation, led by a special panel, concluded that Abubakar was responsible for spreading rumors about extramarital affairs involving high-profile individuals.

The AGN also announced that she would appear before the National Disciplinary Committee to determine the extent of her punishment. During the suspension, Halima is prohibited from participating in any AGN-related or filming activities.
