For the first time since 2004, Ghana’s Black Stars will miss out on the Africa Cup of Nations, the continent’s premier football tournament.

On Thursday, November 15, 2024, the Black Stars faced Angola in a crucial qualifier, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw, sealing Ghana’s fate. This result dashed their hopes of competing in the tournament, which will be held in Morocco from December 2025 to January 2026, and left them at the bottom of Group F.

Following the setback, Ghanaians have taken to social media to express their disappointment. Many fans are angry and shocked, with some directing their frustrations at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the coaching staff. Others are questioning the players’ commitment to the national team.
