Miss South Africa, Mia le Roux, has withdrawn from the 73rd Miss Universe pageant due to health issues.
Le Roux, who has been in Mexico for several weeks participating in events and preparing for the grand finale on Saturday, November 16, 2024, made history as the first deaf contestant in the competition. She was among 120 contestants vying for the prestigious title.
The Miss South Africa organization announced the decision in a statement on Friday morning, expressing their support for Le Roux.
