Two cows, valued at ₦1.9 million, were stolen from the premises of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Testimony Parish in the Egbeda area of Oyo State.

The theft occurred on November 11, 2024, just days before the church’s annual adult harvest thanksgiving celebration, set for November 17. According to a Facebook post by the church, the cows were intended for the event, but despite extensive efforts to locate them, they remain missing.

In response, the church has appealed for prayers and financial support to replace the stolen animals in time for the celebration.

The Facebook post read: “Dear Celestians and the General Public, two large cows were stolen from the CCC Testimony Parish, Elerumoke Area, Egbeda, Iyana Ajia. These cows were meant for the 9th adult harvest thanksgiving on Sunday, November 17, 2024.”

The church further urged anyone with information about the theft to come forward, stating: “We solicit your prayers for the swift recovery of this sacrificial material for the thanksgiving. Any assistance or useful information to ensure the success of the celebration should be directed to the parish shepherd.”
