The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the death of one individual and injuries to four others following an altercation in Nyankpala, located in the Tolon constituency.

The deceased’s body has been sent to the morgue for preservation and autopsy. Meanwhile, the injured victims are receiving medical treatment at a healthcare facility.

In connection with the incident, four suspects—Majid Issah, Fodi Issiage Kamara, Yakubu Simalia, and Alhaji Bashiru Mohamed—were apprehended earlier today. They are currently in police custody as investigations into the shooting continue.

Authorities have assured the public of a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served and urged calm as the situation is addressed.
