Recall that the actor is now embroiled in a divorce battle with his estranged first wife, May, who filed a case against Yul and his second wife, Judy, accusing them of infidelity and seeking N100m in damages. She also obtained a restraining order preventing Yul from going to their previous marital residence.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the father made comments regarding the marital issue his son is going through.

Pete Edochie used a proverb to express his ideas. He said โ€œhe who fetches ant-infested firewood, should be ready to host the lizards for a feastโ€. This can be loosely interpreted as โ€œYul being the architect of his current issuesโ€.
