Nollywood actress Rita Dominic recently shared the reasons behind her prolonged wait before entering into marriage in a recent interview on Joy News. At the age of 46, she explained that she took her time because she wanted to ensure that her decision was based on genuine compatibility rather than succumbing to societal pressures.
Despite encountering numerous suitors, Rita emphasized that she refrained from hastily entering relationships that didn’t feel right. She remained steadfast in her commitment to avoiding the pressure to marry for the sake of societal expectations, even in the face of criticism.
Expressing gratitude for her husband, Fidelis Anosike, Rita acknowledged societal commentary but chose to ignore it. The actress recently tied the knot with Fidelis at Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire, England, in a simple yet elegant ceremony at the historic venue, believed to be over 900 years old. Fidelis Anosike serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Folio Group, which owns the Daily Times and Miss Nigeria pageant.
Notable personalities, including TV presenter Michelle Dede as Chief Maid of Honour, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, Vicky Sogunro, and Olivia Waturuocha, were part of Rita’s bridal train.
