The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his disappointment at the early exit of the Black Stars at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) in Egypt.
Ghana were stunned by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the round of 16 after they lost in penalty shoot-outs to them.
Tunisia won the shoot-out by 5-4 to set up a quarter-final match against Madagascar on Thursday.
Several Ghanaians reacted to the shocking defeat and the president of the land also took to his twitter handle to express his disappointment at Black Stars lost to Tunisia.
According to Akufo-Addo, he is heart-broken just like any Ghanaian by the exit of the Black Stars at AFCON 2019.
He indicated that the senior national team will bounce back stronger and will put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians.
Akufo-Addo tweeted:
” Like most Ghanaians, I am gutted by the exit of the Black Stars at AFCON 2019. I wish the team better luck next time. I am confident they will bounce back even stronger, and make all of us proud once again.”
