The dancehall singer Bounty Killer has filed a case against Othman Mukhlis and Jamdown Music Limited in the High Court of Justice in London, United Kingdom, seeking to recover more than ยฃ325,000 (J$60 million) in unpaid royalties.

According to OBSERVER ONLINE, Mukhlis and his business amassed around ยฃ325,000 in royalties for the deejay since 2002; however, the money was allegedly never given to the musician.

According to reports, Julian Jones-Griffith, the former manager of Bounty Killer, found the missing funds.

Bounty Killer, real name Rodney Price, is currently suing for $73 million in unpaid debts.

The case was filed back in June, and according to reports, it seeks payment for all debts owed to the deejay as well as interest accrued over a 20-year period.

The deejay is “entitled to and wants a declaration that all amounts collected by Mr. Mukhlis, Jamdown and/or Abood, belong to him and are held in trust for him,” according to court filings that have subsequently been updated.

The British label owner reportedly “acknowledged that monies were owed to Mr. Price and gave him the sum of ยฃ8,477,” according to court filings.
