His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of Ghana, received jeers during the 2022 Global Citizen Festival stage in Accra’s Black Star Square.
After delivering his keynote speech, H.E. Nana Addo was jeered by the audience. He discussed the efforts made by the Ghanaian administration to eradicate poverty and preserve the country’s unity.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I extend a hearty Akwaaba, our word of greeting, from a very hospitable people,” he said to begin his remarks. To everyone who has traveled far and wide to the capital of Ghana, Accra, to be a part of this momentous occasion. His Excellency discussed the effects of the Russian-Ukrainian war and climate change on the global and Ghanaian economies.
The youth were tasked by President Nana Addo to discover innovative and unafraid answers to global issues.
