The collation of the Presidential and National Assembly results will start on Sunday, according to Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Even though he acknowledged that there were some difficulties in some regions of the nation, he said that the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) had performed admirably in majority of the states across the federation.
He clarified that the difficulty with voting in some areas was caused by the INEC officers’ failure to begin voting at polling places by 8:30 am as agreed.
