The Grammys have sparked outrage on social media after referring to Nigerian musician Wizkid as an emerging talent.
The American award organizers tagged Wizkid’s name in a post that asked, “Who is an up-and-coming Black artist everyone should have on their radar?” They shared it on their Instagram story.
Rema, Ice Spice, Pinkpantheress, and Wizkid are among the up-and-coming artists highlighted.
Nigerians on social media were stunned by the attribution and descended on the Grammys.
