Former Big Brother Naija housemate TBoss has criticised Nigerians for submitting applications to Guinness World Records in order to break records.
After chef Hilda Baci smashed the Indian woman’s 88-hour cooking record, many Nigerians applied to Guinness World Records in an effort to break their own records.
In addition to Chef Deo’s 150-hour cook-a-thon and Chef Dammy’s participation, Nigerian masseuse Joyce Ijeoma has begun a 72-hour massage to set a record.
On her Instagram story, TBoss challenged Nigerians applying for Guinness World Records to break one or more records. She asserts that Nigeria won’t be allowed to participate.
“Nigerians Stop Now. Every day a new “wannabe record breaker” pops up. Y’all gonna make the GWR ban our people. Once they hear Nigerians they are blocking us because what is this!!!”
In the meantime, 26-year-old Ondo chef Adeola Adeyeye, often known as Chef Deo, declares that Guinness World Records has acknowledged her attempt to cook for 150 hours.
At 93 hours and 11 minutes, Hilda Baci presently holds the record for the longest cook-a-thon. In order to start her cook-a-thon, Chef Deo asked GWR for permission, which was granted.
Chef Deo’s cook-a-thon is being held by the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government in Ondo State and will last from June 30 to July 6, 2023.
Chef Deo’s manager, Ayotunde Fagbamiye, cited GWR’s approval of the attempt and expressed her determination and excitement to complete this feat and break this record for a cook-a-thon.
“Guinness World Records granted her approval to undertake the cook-a-thon.
“We were elated upon receiving the notification that she can proceed to break the record for an individual’s cooking marathon.
“She possesses great energy and is prepared to cook for 150 hours.
“Her passion and determination are evident, and I am confident she will successfully reach the end of this journey,” her manager said
