Super Eagles coach, Finidi George, emphasized the significance of securing victories in the upcoming matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying series.

Despite drawing their initial two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, the three-time African champions are yet to clinch a win in the qualifiers.

In his inaugural official game in charge, Finidi will lead the Super Eagles against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on Friday, June 7th. Following this match, Nigeria will confront Benin’s Squirrels, managed by former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, a few days later.
