The Lagos State Police Command has once again apprehended Ibrahim Owodunni, popularly known as Primeboy, a prominent Afro singer, during his scheduled visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba. This arrest, which took place on Tuesday morning, occurred alongside Ayobami Fisayo, also known as Spending, as part of ongoing investigative efforts.

Sources familiar with the situation, as reported by Punch, disclosed that both Primeboy and Spending had been instructed to report to the SCID on a weekly basis since the commencement of investigations into the untimely demise of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad.

While Spending was released following their visit on Tuesday, Primeboy remained in police custody for further interrogation. The investigation aims to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, with Primeboy’s involvement and potential links under scrutiny by law enforcement authorities.

As of now, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the rationale behind Primeboy’s re-arrest or the specific allegations against him.

According to a source familiar with the matter, “Both individuals had gone to fulfill their weekly reporting requirement at SCID this morning. However, upon arrival, Primeboy was promptly handcuffed and detained. Only Spending was permitted to leave after signing in. Primeboy is currently incarcerated.”
